Communication, and indeed effective communication has remained a major factor in building healthy relationships. It is an inherent human nature to desire being in relationships whether platonic or romantic. As a matter of fact, we can rarely live an optimum life without having valuable relationships with others. For me, careful consideration of the relationships we keep shows we ain’t taking effective communication seriously as we ought to.

This post will be answering 20 questions I was asked by some of my friends. I’m sure nobody already knows the answers to these questions, so don’t feel like you know it all. Just relax and enjoy.

What is your name and what does it mean?
My name is Opeyemi and from the best of my knowledge, I’ll say Opeyemi means ‘I deserve to be thankful’…I hope I’m right though. So it is safe to say my parents were thankful to have me.
2. When is your birthday and How old are you?
I’m 25 years old and I was born on April 12, 1995. I put a 25th birthday post up already, you should read it here

3. What is your best childhood memory?
I have a lot of nice childhood memories actually (thanks to my parents). If I’m to pick my best, it will be times when my elder sister and I would wear matching outfits, really. There was this outfit at that time that had a dress, hat, and bag to match. How I love those times…
4. What’s your favorite color?
Until recently, it was black. Now I think I love purple too (hard to choose so I’ll pick both)
5. What’s something you’ve always wanted to try?
Skydiving!! The thought scares the living day out of me but I still want to try it.
6. What’s something you thought you’ll grow out of but haven’t?
Ermmm I’ll say how much I worry. I’m a work in progress though and I hope I get over it soon
7. What’s your best food?
Beans with plantain… I love that combo so much that I can eat it every day of the week and not get tired. If you’ll ever have to host me, you could serve me this. Lol
8. What are your hobbies?
I love reading, writing, and learning new things. Basically anything that’ll keep me active could become my hobby.
9. Favorite book?
Presently, I’ll say ‘You are a Badass at Making Money’ by Jen Sincero. I love reading books so it might change soon but till then, I’ll pick this. This book changed my mindset and yea, I’m making money already. Lol
10. What is your weirdest passion?
Talking!! I don’t get tired and I sometimes get scared.
11. What’s your ‘go to’ outfit?
Jeans, T-shirt and flats (sneakers maybe)… I love that it is simple, comfortable yet chic.
12. How many languages do you speak?
I speak just two. English and Yoruba, maybe I’ll learn German or French someday.
13. What is one thing that makes you lose interest in people immediately?
14. Where do you currently live?
I live in Ibadan, Oyo State, Nigeria.

I have 4 siblings. 2 sisters and 2 brothers
17. What was your dream job as a kid?
Growing up, I wanted to become a medical doctor. Well everybody I knew that time wanted to become a medical doctor but look at us now. Lol
18. Which one thing do you wish people knew about you?
I wish they knew that beneath my ‘hard girl’ is a soft -hearted lady that worries for others so much.
19. Biggest struggle you overcame?
Punctuality… I can’t say I’m there yet, but I’ve improved.
20. When was the last time you cried?
I still cried this month of April, I had a lot running through my mind so I cried to feel better
