Little habits that don’t seem like they matter are those that greatly matter.

First, let me say to you, I’ve missed you. I’m sure you thought I was going to sing Duduke, lmao. I know going MIA was not the nicest thing to do and I’m sorry. The reason why I didn’t publish last week was that first, my laptop acted up. Secondly, because I didn’t want to ruin the flow of the scheduled content. I received so many messages telling me how they’ve missed reading my blog posts and it warms my heart. Never will I take your love for granted. Thank you

So I’ll like to remind you that living a life of great quality is not based solely on the many things that we place our focus on. It starts with the simple habits that we have formed and continued to repeat. I mean, if you can’t be diligent in little things, how then do you want to be diligent in big things?

I’ve got great news for you. Improving the quality of your life doesn’t have to be complicated. It starts with these 5 simple habits that have noticeably made my life better. If you also want to improve the quality of your life, don’t stop reading.

Here are 5 simple habits to improve the quality of your life

1. Keep your room tidy

You didn’t see this coming right? No jokes, this is one of the many simple habits you have most likely overlooked because you didn’t think it mattered. Hey boo, it does. Making your bed can make your day. Are you a slay mama or big boy outside but your room cannot be seen? Think about it. the habit of making your bed each morning can do a lot more than just leave your room looking clean.

Making your bed can instill a sense of accomplishment and create feelings of positivity. Crossing it off your to-do list first thing in the morning will help jump-start your day and prepare you for the rest of the day. Also, who doesn’t love crawling into a crisp, clean bed each night?
Keeping your room tidy can also help tidy up your brain. It’s no secret that if your home and bedroom are messy, your thoughts are probably scattered as well.

Do yourself a favor and set aside time for cleaning. This will help clear out any clutter and keep your room, and your thoughts, organized. It can also help you feel a sense of accomplishment, happiness, and pride. So get up five minutes early, make your bed and fluff your pillows — these quick and easy tasks will ensure you wake up on the right side of the bed.

2. Start each day with gratitude

The simple habit of starting your day with gratitude cannot be overemphasized. Being grateful can increase your overall level of happiness. It helps you shift your mind from all the bad things happening in your life to the good things that have happened. This in turn gives you hope of a better tomorrow. It also reduces your level of stress. A stressed person will likely not be productive. Being grateful will help you understand and appreciate the process. It’ll help you better understand the way things work and why you should be patient. A habit of gratitude also helps you to stay optimistic. Click here to read the full post on gratitude.

3. Positive thinking and talking

Did you know that positive thoughts are life-enhancing? They empower you and make you feel stronger and more confident. If you ever thought that positive thinking is just a motivational idea, then you probably don’t know how powerful your thoughts are. Positive thinking leads to great mental health and peak performance. Each time you take control of your thoughts and discipline yourself to keep them positive, the quality of both your inner and outer lives improves.

Much more than cultivating the habit of thinking positive thoughts, also talk to yourself positively. From now on, say positive things to yourself. Gas yourself up and remind yourself of how beautiful or handsome you are, how smart you are. Say things you want to be and do to yourself. Repeat these positive words and never say or believe otherwise.

4. Learn something new every day

The habit of learning something new every day can greatly improve the quality of your life. Even if it’s a word or a recipe, it counts. Rather than rant every time about how bored you are, dedicate that time to learning something new. It’ll help you keep boredom away, awaken your creativity, and add to your knowledge bank. Consciously take a break from WhatsApp and Instagram to learn something new today.

5. Have fun

It is okay to take breaks sometimes to have fun. It will help you to relax and take your mind off the pressure from work or other stuff. Hang out with friends, meet new people, do things that make you laugh really hard and loud. Don’t go about forming seriousness because you feel it’s a sign of maturity. Lol… Basically, do things that make you genuinely happy. I’m not a preacher of excesses so while having fun, do it wisely so that other things don’t suffer.

All these things I mentioned are things I’m consciously doing. You see keeping my room tidy, was not the easiest at first but look at me now. If you are really serious about improving the quality of your life, cultivate these simple habits.
