It’s past 1 in the midnight as I type this and if I would be sincere, somebody’s son should be the first on the list of random things I’m loving lately but that’s not the gist for today, lol. It’s been a while I put aside the aspire to acquire part of me to gist with you. If you know me, you’ll know I’m so keen on personal growth and development so much that work tends to take the best part of me. But we are breaking free today. So let’s gist.

Happy new month beautiful people, you sure didn’t just think I forgot. First, I’ll like to say a very big thank you to the month of January for not being like its predecessors. But I’m also here wondering why it had to come with a lot of uncertainties though.

Life Update

Before I tell you the random things I’m loving lately, let me ask you this. Have you ever had to try to view your life like it’s not yours? Like try to look at yourself from people’s eyes and then compare it to how you perceive yourself internally? Well, I’ve tried it, though it was a bit difficult, it gave me another perspective on my life. You could try it too.

My life would easily look interesting from your point of view. Though it’s not far from interesting, I would not call it entirely interesting. For a lady who wants to conquer the world from her room in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun state, this lady seems to be investing so much time in work. It’s still the same here I guess.

As you already read from my ebook (click here to download it if you have not already read it), I’m a social media manager and I also do creative writings for blogs and brands. It’s pretty much the same but where I do them from has changed. Towards the end of last year, we had to move to another place. Don’t ask me how I’m coping, honestly, I’m just still adjusting and the network here seems to be out to frustrate me.

Currently…3 random things I'm loving lately Opeyemi Omidiji

Asides from work, I’ve not stopped reading. I just finished reading ‘Get Over Yourself’ by Tonya Pinkins and I’m about to start reading ‘Atomic Habits’ by James Clear. I’m also doing a lot of personal branding and soon you’ll see the result of the underground works. If it’s worth mentioning, I’m hoping I’ll go out to have fun more henceforth.

In terms of feelings, I feel a bit more stable emotionally, thanks to my family and friends. Though I’m not eating well, I’m at peace with where I am emotionally and how I’ve been able to handle unnecessary distractions.

Random Things I’m loving lately

I noticed my life was already tending towards boring because of my workload so I consciously decided to do things other than work. It’s weird that these things had been there all along, I just did not actively invest in them.

1. Piercing

random things I'm loving piercing

First on the list of random things I’m loving lately is piercing. I’ve always loved piercings. If you hear me talk about piercings, you would think I could pierce all of my body. That was how much I talked about it but little did you know. My love for piercings had not moved me to want to get one because I was scared of the pain. I would even say that since I endured the pain of removing my tooth, nothing else is impossible but then, lol.

Long story short, I’ve conquered my fear, and I’ve gotten my very first piercings asides from the one mum did for me as a child. And I strongly believe I’ll do more soon.

2. Fashion content

For the longest time, I would call myself a fashion enthusiast. I love fashion and would love to explore the world but I just didn’t think I was capable of creating fashion content. I mean, I don’t have plenty of clothes and I’m not even rich to get them. I would stay up at night checking fashion blogs, watching fashion films on spice tv, and combining pieces in my head. This is no longer the case.

While I won’t call myself a badass yet, if you follow me on Instagram, you’ll see that I’ve been putting out nice fashion content there. Click here to see. It’s fascinating to leave my house every Saturday with my borrowed car filled with clothes, shoes, bags, and accessories for a shoot. It gives me fulfillment and I’ll definitely be doing more of this henceforth. More reason you should follow me on Instagram.

3. Interior decoration

Interior decoration

The love for interior decoration really became a thing when I had to start thinking of a youtube setup. I figured I had been away from youtube for so long that it would not be nice to come back with a not so good setup. So the search began. Pinterest became my playground and since I would type in whatever and find results, I was glued.

Something that was supposed to be just a youtube set up graduated to me searching for dark bedroom ideas, minimalist living room set up, and much more. This has sweetened my taste obviously and I’ll definitely be doing a lot with my space when the time comes.

That’s it on the random things I’m loving and a lit bit of life update. I intend to do a full life update video on youtube soon so you’ll get to know more. Did you enjoy reading this post? Till next time, stay safe, stay sane.

With love,
